and feathery friends
I love coffee, and almost as much, coffee cups!
and scaly friends, and creatures of all kinds :')
im not a trained artist, more so self-directed*.
i do have a background in design which perhaps plays a role in my approach to drawing as well.

my day job has nothing to do with furry creatures or meadows or puffins or a guy with a backpack and a missing sock <oh wait> but these creatures are definitely what make up the world in my sketchbooks.

its all influence and mimicry :
i was already attached to some work from other artists long before i realised that a person had to have made what i was looking at. Richard Scarry's 'the best word book ever' sits in my shelves, stitched, taped and glued together after being around for years and years together.
​
on some level, every drawing i make, is an attempt to match what i saw in that book, and some others along the way - kipper the dog, miffy and friends, Zuiyo Eizo's animated version of 'Heidi' and a delayed discovery 'Calvin and Hobbes'.​​​
